Trains

 

There is a regular train service from Mortimer Station to Reading West an Reading;  and to Bramley and Basingstoke.

For most of the day, trains run every half an hour, leaving in both directions, at approx 20 minutes past and 10 minutes to each hour.
Journey time is 11 minutes to
Reading; 11 minutes to Basingstoke.
Mortimer Station, about one and a half miles from Beech Hill has a good sized car park and secure cycle storage.

Bus to Reading

 

Every Thursday and Saturday there is a return bus to Reading Broad Street Mall (Butts Centre) leaving  Beech Hill at 9:30 am, returning at 12:10 from the side of the Broad Street Mall. This bus goes through to Stratfield Saye.

 

The bus leaves Stratfield Saye (New Road) at 9:20; Beech Hill (Memorial Hall) at 9:30; Spencers Wood (Loddon Court Farm) at 9:35; Grazeley at 9:42; Morrisons/Safeway (if required) at 9:50; arriving at the Reading Broad Street Mall (The Butts Centre) at 10:00.

The Return Journey leaves the same point at 12:10

Bus to Newbury

 

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Beech Hill to Newbury via Mortimer, Burghfield Common, Ufton Nervet, Aldermaston, Ashford Hill, and Headley.

The bus leaves Beech Hill at about 9.25am, arriving at Bartholemew Street in Newbury at 10.30. The return service leaves Bartholemew Street at 13.00 arriving back in Beech Hill at about 14.25.

Senior citizens’ bus tokens will be accepted on this service.

It is no longer necessary to book in advance
